Volunteering at HAS in May 2019

M y internship at the Humane Animal Society has been extremely enlightening, to say the least. To be able to work for the welfare of animals has always been my passion. From feeding to giving medicines and applying ointments to exercising and even bathing them, all the activities that I actively took part in, made me realize how privileged we human beings are and how important it is for each one of us to understand the necessity to aid the abandoned animals.

Me being a volunteer at HAS for just about 35 hours has completely changed the way I perceive things. It has made me realize how much better it is to adopt rather than buying a pet. It has made me believe the fact that animals deserve all the love and care one can give and we must do our best in order to keep them happy and healthy. I’ve shared a lovely bond with some of the dogs at the shelter and I’m going to cherish this experience of mine forever.

I am grateful to be given the opportunity to be a part of such a noble cause which I’ll idolize the most.
