I like bossing my furry friends around, but when it comes to humans, I’m just a pussycat!

H it by a car and left with life changing injuries, Judy was aggressive and hard to handle when rescued. Although we didn’t know it at the time, this was probably her maternal instinct going into overdrive, as a few weeks later, she surprised us all by giving birth to a beautiful little girl who we named Jutu. Sadly, Judy never regained the use of her hind legs, but it didn’t stop her from being a wonderful, doting mother to her baby, who grew chubby and healthy and was adopted once weaned. Gradually, Judy warmed up to us all, too, and grew to love the freedom that being in the walking wheels gave her.

On 24 March 2022 Judy showed lack of appetite and looked dull. Despite the treatment and care, she passed away a couple of days later. The post-mortem report revealed an injured spleen and deterioration of the lungs. We are happy that Judy did not suffer longer and are grateful that we were able to give her a few happy years.
