A t deaths door when rescued, Mickey was suffering from Canine Distemper and had a host of other general health issues. Terribly emaciated, unable to stand and walk and very dejected, this poor boy took a while to recover, but with great love and even greater food, he soon began to gain weight and enjoy his daily walks. While Mickey has long term complications from his illness, these can be easily managed with appropriate care, and he is now enjoying a life of leisure and love at the sanctuary.
It’s wholly possible to adopt a handsome dog like Mickey, and he would give you many years of happiness, but he is also a wonderful candidate for sponsorship.
All animals adopted from HAS are or will be sterilised for free at the ABC and Rescue Centre. It is mandatory and entirely free of cost for the adopter. Mickey's sterilised.
