L eft to die on the streets, Goldie was doubtless purchased as a cute, fluffy puppy, who when she grew bigger, may have become too ‘needy’ for her owners. Or, perhaps she got sick as a result of not being vaccinated, and not wanting to spend money on medical bills, she was abandoned without a backward glance. We’ll never know. But what we do know, is that this very special soul absolutely didn’t deserve to be treated the way she was.
Rescued suffering from the viral and highly contagious disease, canine distemper, Goldie had to be treated in isolation for many weeks, and her condition was serious. However, this girl whose heart is as golden as her fur, made a slow recovery, and although she will require lifelong special care, she would make a wonderfully loyal pet.
