H oney came to us as a tiny tot, after being rescued with several painful fractures on her little legs. Due to the severity of the injuries on her right forelimb, Honey underwent amputation surgery, and spent many weeks in post-operative care. Fortunately, this adorable girl is as sweet as her name, and caring for her was made easy thanks to her loving and gently playful nature.
While we wish for loving homes for all of our three-legged residents, we know that some view dogs with disabilities as a burden. We know however, that the absolute opposite is much closer to the truth, and requiring no special care, Honey may even be easier to care for than an able bodied dog due to her inability to move quite as fast or need as much exercise.
All animals adopted from HAS are or will be sterilised for free at the ABC and Rescue Centre. It is mandatory and entirely free of cost for the adopter. Honey's will be sterilised at the appropriate time.
