M eet Husky: a handsome and fluffy canine with eyes that will pierce straight through your heart! Husky's journey to our shelter began with an alarming behaviour issue, but we didn't let that discourage us. With patience, love, and gentle training, we helped him overcome his aggressive tendencies, and now his playful nature has really begun to shine through. Loving nothing more than to cuddle up with his favourite humans and enjoy a scratch behind the ears or belly rub, Husky is, however, not a dog for inexperienced pet owners.
Hyperactive and a little volatile at times, Husky needs an experienced and patient owner with some knowledge of training dogs. But we believe he would truly thrive if the right person could be found, and he was given a structured and loving environment to live in. In August 2025, Husky developed a swelling in his ventral abdomen that was diagnosed as an inguinal hernia, and a surgical correction was scheduled. Unfortunately, he experienced respiratory distress during the procedure and died on September 9th despite all our efforts to revive him. The post-mortem examination revealed acute pulmonary congestion in the lobes of his left lung. Husky will always hold a special place in our hearts. May his soul rest in peace!
