M ikey was rescued after a road traffic accident where she lost her right paw and sustained a twisted left paw. Her recovery was nothing short of a miracle!
Mikey is famous for her Kangaroo pose which could never miss your attention. Though she might act shy at first, she is very friendly once she gets to know you.
In February 2025, Mikey was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, and the tumor was surgically removed from her ventral abdomen. She recovered well after the surgery and returned to her usual self. However, in May, her appetite declined, and she started passing blood-tinged urine. A palpable mass was also detected in her abdomen. An ultrasound revealed multiple masses in the abdomen and thickening of the urinary bladder wall, suggesting cancer spread. To determine the prognosis, an exploratory laparotomy was performed on the 21st, during which a massive tumor was observed in the spleen. To prevent further suffering, we made the decision to let her go peacefully. We are grateful for the happy times we shared with her over the years. Her memories will remain evergreen. Rest in Peace, Mikey!
