T imid little lady, Nila, was rushed to our ABC and Rescue Centre after an accident on the city streets left her with a fractured hind leg. Much preferring to be with humans, she was a lapdog from day one, and we were hopeful that somebody would see her loving nature and give her a safe home to live in for the rest of her days. Sadly, that hasn’t happened yet, and while Nila is of course safe in our care for as long as she needs us, we want nothing more than for her to find a home of her own.
On October 20, 2025, due to stress caused by the constant bursting of crackers, a fight broke out among the dogs in Nila's enclosure where she sustained serious injuries in the neck region. Despite every effort made by our team to revive her, she succumbed to her injuries. This loss is devastating, and she will always be remembered as a lovely, vibrant soul who enriched our lives.
All animals adopted from HAS are or will be sterilised for free at the ABC and Rescue Centre. It is mandatory and entirely free of cost for the adopter. Nila's sterilised.
