P enny was found with an injured paw and was brought to us by a concerned citizen. Thanks to the TLC of our staff and volunteers, she is feeling so much better.
Penny is an affectionate girl who enjoys sitting on your lap having conversations with you about everything. She has lived with other puppies and seems to prefer to hang out with the dominant ones. Will you take this sweet girl home with you?
Penny enjoys the company of her people, but she can also be independent and enjoys her own space as well. If you would like to meet Penny, please come on down to the sanctuary today.
During the first week of April 2025, Penny looked a bit dull and showed a lack of appetite. Her blood test revealed low platelets, suggestive of tick fever, for which treatment was started. She seemed to respond well and became active with improved appetite. However, on the 9th of April, she suddenly showed severe signs of respiratory distress and passed away. We are grateful to have given her a few happy years. May her soul rest in peace!
