R escued as a young, orphaned pup, we became Pixies substitute mother and she quickly endeared us all to her. Frequently caught mid escape attempt, she was an adorable bundle of mischief and love. Adopted and returned once, she remained under our care and aside from a minor skin infection that responded well to treatment, she thrived and is now a proud, healthy member of our permanent family.
So pretty and sweet natured, we know Pixie would make a wonderful family pet, but she is energetic and would need somewhere with some space, or regular exercise to keep her mentally stimulated.
On April 20th, 2025, Pixie passed away quite unexpectedly. She remained active and alert until the very end, making it a shock to see her suddenly lifeless. The post-mortem examination revealed signs of peritonitis, and it appeared that she suffered seizures just before passing. She will live on in our hearts forever as a cheerful and playful pet.
